In Year 1 the children have been learning all about the Polar Regions and historical explorers. Two weeks ago we hot seated Ernest Shackleton.
The Year 4 children have impressed Mrs Lowde and Mr Harrison with all their efforts with learning this week – at home for most, and in school for a few.

At the beginning of December last year, the English Department launched the Westholme Book Boom to get pupils excited and engaged in reading for fun, not just in the classroom.
Congratulations to former pupil Charlotte Cootes, who recently achieved her Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

A special awards ceremony was held in the Lecture Theatre this afternoon for students in Lower Sixth who had not received their GCSE certificates last year in our usual annual awards ceremony, due to Covid-19.
