Nursery Transition Visits

Nursery children enjoy their ‘settling in’ visits at the Infant School

Our eldest Nursery children are getting ready for the next step in their Westholme journey….graduating to Pre-School! The Nursery children have started their regular summer term visits, to ensure a smooth transition come September. Our children are already familiar with the weekly visits to Billinge House, for the library visits and phonic sessions. However they are now having play visits to use the full Pre-School facilities, becoming familiar with their new environment and their new teachers. They love building and role play in the green room, getting messy in the red room, using the computers and games in the blue room, as well as exploring the fantastic Pre-School garden and undercover play area.

The Nursery children have already brought their parents to see Pre-School too, during our ‘move up’ afternoon. They are looking forward to another ‘move up’ session with their parents next Friday (20th June). Their new teachers will also be coming to Nursery soon to visit the children and speak with their nursery nurses who know them so well.
