Old Girls enjoy a reunion in London
It was another memorable Westholme Reunion as thirty loyal Old Westholmians and staff met up on a sunny September afternoon in the Big Smoke, outside the awe-inspiring venue of Buckingham Palace.
With the excitement of the Jubilee and the Olympics still in the air, we came together to enjoy a superb tour of the State Rooms, including a special exhibition of the royal diamonds. It really was a tour worth doing! The artwork, the ornamental grandeur, the tales of the traditions…it had it all.
After a eye-wateringly expensive trip to the Palace shop, we frugal Northerners headed off to Bank Restaurant in Westminster to enjoy a delicious meal in the conservatory. Memories were revisited and everyone really enjoyed the convivial atmosphere. Next stop, the Ritz for Afternoon Tea in April!
