Planetarium Visit

It has been an exciting day for all the children at the Nursery, Infant and Junior School. As part of ‘World Space Week’ they have had the opportunity to visit a mobile planetarium to learn more about space.

There were a range of programmes and the children enjoyed finding out about planets, the sun, constellations, space travel and galaxies. The inflatable planetarium almost filled the dining hall at the Infant School and as the children stepped into the darkness they were transported through our galaxy to other worlds beyond our own.

Everyone was captivated by the incredible 360 degree film projected onto the inside of the dome and there were gasps of excitement as they travelled on a virtual journey through time and space.

This was a fantastic experience for the students and one which will inspire their projects back on earth in the classroom. Thank you to Immersive Experiences for bringing space to Westholme!
