Ni Hao Radio Lancashire
Radio Lancashire came to chat with Mrs Patefield and three of our students today – Malini Dey, who is studying Mandarin for A Level, Abi Beardmore who is at GCSE Level and Eleanor Lynch who was in the first cohort of Mandarin students to visit China in 2007. The media were interested to know how well the girls were doing with their studies and how it was preparing them for future careers. All the girls spoke confidently, often in Mandarin, and it was self evident how much they enjoyed their studies of a challenging language. Mrs Patefield commented, “Last year’s GCSE results for Mandarin were stunning, with 75% of girls gaining an A or an A* grade. They are all a credit to us.”
