The children in Reception have recently enjoyed learning about life cycles over the last few weeks.
They have been interested to find out about how a frog and butterfly change over time.
The children have observed the lifecycle first hand in the classroom and took special care of some caterpillars.
This week they were able to watch the final stage of the lifecycle and they released the butterflies into the wild.
A lovely experience for our children!

At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
