Restorative Justice Talk

Phillip Cawly from Lancashire Constabulary Headquarters came in to school yesterday to talk to the Social Sciences students about the work he does on Restorative Justice.

This way of dealing with offending behaviour is a topic on the A Level specification and the Lower Sixth students will be studying it later this term.  Phillip introduced students to key terminology, explained how it works and highlighted its strengths and weaknesses by sharing his experiences of it in action.  We all enjoyed listening to his stories and are looking forward to him coming in again, later in the term to discuss custodial sentencing.
