Senior House Cross Country

The Senior House Cross Country event took place today and despite the extremely soggy conditions, it was contested with great spirit and impressive effort from everyone!

A warm up Zumba session was led by the PE staff and took place in the Sports Hall before each year group commenced their run. This ensured all students got into fun spirits and were properly prepared for the run.

First up were the Year 7 runners who were very enthusiastic about their first Senior House event. Competition was fierce but fun and everyone showed a great desire to win those all-important House points.

The Year 8 and 9 students took part soon after break and many of them were determined to beat their time from last year’s event.

After fuelling up with a delicious lunch, this afternoon, the Year 10, 11 and Sixth Form students raced, once again, with sheer determination to gain valuable House points and striving to beat their time from last year.

Thank you to the PE department for running this event, especially as they had to battle in such terrible weather conditions first thing.

Congratulations to all that took part and the results are as follows:

The overall House Points go to…. Calder!

Well done everyone!
