Senior House Cross Country

Today’s House Cross Country event at Senior School was contested with great spirit and tremendous effort.

Warm up/dance sessions led by the PE staff took place before each year group event. This ensured all students got into the fun spirit of the day and made certain everyone was ready and raring to go.

Year 7 took to the course first; eager to perform their very best at their first House event of the term, they set of with great enthusiasm.

After break, it was the turn of the Year 8 and 9 students, who ran the course with determination – each student trying to better their time from last year’s event.

Finally, this afternoon, the Year 10, 11 and Sixth Form students raced, once again, vying for the best finish to ensure a vast array of points for their House. Well done to Will Couch who finished in 7m, 1s – a brand new course record.

Well done to everyone for taking part and for showing superb team spirit. Well done to the following students who finished first in their races individually:

Year 7 – Jonathan Brindle & Amelia Halstead
Years 8/9 – Harrison Chick & Lara Ingram-Weston
Years 10, 11 and Sixth Form – Will Couch & Charlotte Corrigan

Congratulations to Bowland who finished first overall.
