Sophie Lamb’s GB & Ireland Golfing success
We are extremely proud of the latest achievements of our Year 10 pupil, Sophie Lamb. This weekend, Sophie was top scorer for GB & Ireland in the Junior Vagliano, Chantilly, GC, France. Sophie won her foursomes match, playing with Scotland’s Fional Liddell. In the singles, she won the 18th to halve her match against Albane Valenzuela of Swizerland. This exciting match had a better ball of ten under par.

Westholme helped me to understand that in life hard work always beats natural talent. So, everywhere I go now I always make sure I’m working harder than my competition – this allows me to achieve my dreams.
At Westholme I was taught that no dream was too big. We were encouraged to aim for the stars, which I did and succeeded! Knowing I had their constant support even to this day, anything was possible.
At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
