Putting the fun in fundraising!
The 2013 Annual Westholme Association Spring Fair was held on Saturday 9th March, and we are delighted to announce that we raised in region of £6000…not bad for the coldest Spring day we have had for a long time!
The Spring Fair has developed into a major event in Westholme School’s calendar, with all school sites and children being involved from Nursery right through to Sixth Form.
Visitors this year enjoyed a tour around our fabulous stalls, which ranged from our ever-popular Plant Stall and “Sweet” Mothers Day Stall, Accessories Stall, Designer Bag Lucky Dip – plus many more.
Our Paper Stall, kindly provided and run by some of our generous parents, was as popular as ever and a huge thanks for all their support.
The children were enticed by the Nail Bar, Bran Tub, Princess Stall, Tombola, Toys and Books and not forgetting our fabulous branded goods from the Westholme Stall.
Well done to Mr Lewis who braved the cold to appear in the stocks at intervals between thawing out!
The Sports Hall was bustling as always where each form group from Wilmar Lodge was invited to invent and run the games for our guests, with the winning form being announced in assembly. Our bouncy castle also located in the Sports hall proved a huge hit yet again this year, with no injuries to report thank goodness!
Refreshments were served in our cafe for those needing to take a break, and those wishing to take-away “goodies” could do so from our Popcorn Stand, Cake Stall and the “Shajan” Take-away Stand.
The Westholme Association committee works tirelessly to stage the Annual Spring Fair and without their hard work along with the help and support of all the parents, pupils and school staff, this event would not be the success it is.
We hope you enjoyed our 2013 Spring Fair, if you were not able to visit, we hope to see you next year!
