The Westholme Association Spring Fair 2014
The annual Westholme Association Spring Fair took place this morning. Visitors flocked to Senior School to meander around the many stalls, try their luck on the tombola or simply to sample the famous Westholme shortbread!
This event is a whole school effort; from the Nursery staff running the nail bar to the Senior school pupils organising games in the Sports Hall. However, it really couldn’t be run without the hard work and dedication of the Westholme Association members, who worked tirelessly setting up and manning the stalls throughout the morning.
Guests could visit the plant stall and ‘Sweet’ Mothers’ Day stall to pick up that all important present for tomorrow, buy homemade cakes in the dining hall, throw sponges at teachers and parents in the stocks and much more!
Students venturing to Ecuador over the summer holidays had also created a Westholme Cookbook which they sold to raise money for their trip.
The all important raffle was drawn by Mrs Horner; prizes up for grabs included a wonderful array of hampers and boxes of beautifully made cupcakes. Over £7000 was raised, all of which comes back into school for the benefit for pupils of all ages.
With the sun shining and the grounds of Wilmar Lodge looking stunning it really was a Spring Fair to remember.
