W Club children once again have great fun!
Summer W Clubbers enjoyed a fantastic few days of activities with Mrs Coville and her team.
The week began with craft activities along the theme of the police, in readiness for their visit later that day to Greenbank Police Station. Children saw the CCTV surveillance room where lots of cameras watch over Blackburn town centre and other local areas. Police officer Mark put everyone in the cells then took them to sit in the riot van!
Day two saw a trip to Leogland, Manchester, where children took part in lots of Lego themed activities such as making Lego bricks and racing Lego cars! Great fun was had by all and too soon it was time to go home, much to everyone’s disappointment!
Gadgets and Gizmos was the theme for Thursday and everyone had fun playing with electronic toys and making robots from recycled bits and bobs. Miss Furness and Miss Tudda also ran a swimming session for the water babies in the group!
Friday had a fishy feeling as children visited Aquamania. Children saw the many types of fish they have from clown fish to piranha! They also went to the reptile department where and found out about chameleons, snakes and iguanas. On their return to Wilmar Lodge, everyone created clay animal pencil holders, slithering stick snakes and amazing animals.
What a wonderful W Club Week they all had!
