Billinge House children have fun raising money for Sport Relief!
All children at Billinge House really embraced the Sport Relief spirit.
The day began with Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children walking from Billinge House to Wilmar Lodge. Along the way they were chanting, singing and playing musical instruments to make as much noise as they could. As they approached Senior School, a welcoming party of staff and Year 7 pupils were stood outside cheering them on. Nursery and Pre School children were also there to show their support.
Next, was time for the obstacle course which had been set up in the sports hall. All children completed the circuit twice with many staff members also taking part. The children really did go that extra mile for the charity, as they walked back to Billinge House just in time for lunch.
A whole school Zumbathon on the playground at Billinge House rounded off the Sport Relief challenge in style. Well done to everyone who took part and to the whole staff team for their hard work in organising such a wonderful event. We have raised £940.30 so far!
