The first event in this year’s Concert Series
A wonderful evening of entertainment was enjoyed by audience goers in the Croston Theatre last night.
The evening began with performance by the School Choir who warmed up the audience by singing a medley of numbers from the musical, Chicago. Mr Millest then introduced Swinging at the Cotton Club – a wonderful collaboration of music and dance emulating the fantastic atmosphere from the heady days of the Cotton Club in the 1920s, 30s and 40s in New York. They were joined on stage by members of the Lindy Hop dance company who performed spectacular routines to the swinging tunes. During the interval, the School Swing Band played, gaining extra inspiration from the professional musicians they had heard moments before.
The second half was equally as entertaining – thank you to our guests for a fabulous night!
