Tapestry of Music

Junior Girls and Boys learn about the history & development of musical instruments

Westholme’s Junior Schools have been learning about the history of musical instruments.  The “Tapestry of Music” class proved to be a real insight into how instruments have changed over time to develop into what we know today. Firstly, they were treated to a traditional song that featured the Kettle Drums, followed by other musical interludes, which also included a song containing Latin words.

Dressed in Tudor costumes, the couple told of how they will be travelling to France at Easter to teach young French children the same history.

The class proved to be especially interesting to the Year 5 girls who have been learning about Tudor History in their lessons.
