The Landlord’s Cat

Reception classes perform their Nativity play

Pupils in Reception performed their Nativity ‘The Landlord’s Cat’ to parents and friends at Infant School this morning.

The story tells how life in Bethlehem has never been so hectic, and at a certain inn on the edge of town the landlord’s cat is particularly unimpressed by the hustle and bustle that surrounds him.

Fed up with being ignored, the irritated cat is on the verge of leaving home. But one night a young man and his pregnant wife arrive at the inn and are shown to the stable. The cat senses that something very special is about to happen.

The children told the story with great enthusiasm; their singing voices were lovely and their smiles for the audience were heart warming.
