‘Real life’ topics are explored by Year 8 students
The Real Game is a lifestyle learning resource which incorporates elements of careers education and guidance, citizenship and enterprise activities. It involves fun activities and quizzes together with some ‘chance’ elements and role plays.
On Monday, Year 8 students looked at ‘real life’ topics including lifestyle choices, careers, salaries, living costs, training and leisure activities.
They took part in both team and independent work to complete tasks including budgeting for day-to-day expenses while taking into account tax and savings and their monthly income. It was certainly an eye opener for many and was enjoyed by all.
