Girls experience life in a Victorian cotton mill.
In order to complement their study of life in Victorian times, the girls set off on their trip to Quarry Bank Mill. They were given a guided tour of an original working cotton mill, which provided them with an amazing opportunity to see what it was like to be a factory worker over 150 years ago!
To get into the whole lifestyle experience, the girls were asked to dress up in Victorian style costumes. They even got to take part in a spinning and weaving textile workshop.
It was certainly a fantastic opportunity to develop the girls’ interest in history!
