Raising money for charity!
Good luck to Year 3 teacher, Mrs Jan Sutcliffe, who will be running the London Marathon on Sunday to raise money for Children with Cancer and the NSPCC she has been training hard for the big day. If you would like to follow her during the marathon on Sunday, her number is 37587. We wish you the best of luck Mrs Sutcliffe and we know you can do it!
Should you wish to sponsor Mrs Sutcliffe please do so by visiting her just giving page ‘just giving Jan Sutcliffe’.
Westholme Junior and Infant School are taking part in a triple challenge to raise even more money for the two charities:
The first part of the challenge – Mrs Sutcliffe taking part in the London Marathon.
The second part of the challenge – Before Easter children in Infants and Juniors were given a sponsorship form and they have to choose a challenge that they have never done before. Some of the children are riding a bike without stabilisers, swimming, sewing, knitting and the list goes on.
The third part of the challenge – On June 11th members of staff will be heading north to Coniston to take part in triathlon. It will consist of a swim, kayak and paddleboard the length of Coniston, followed by a 14 mile cycle around the lake shore and then finishing off with a hike up the Old Man of Coniston!
We wish everyone the best of luck and look forward to hearing about their experiences and how much they have raised for the two well worth charities.
