Update from the Head of Prep, Mrs Hornby
06/06/2025
At Prep, we have had a positive start to the last half-term of this academic year. Pupils have returned from their break refreshed, focused and ready to embrace all that this busy end of term involves.
This week has seen every year group engaged in a range of assessments and we have been thoroughly impressed by the calm and purposeful attitude the children have shown. These assessments help us to reflect on individual progress and tailor our teaching to support every child’s development in the weeks ahead and are key to our transition meetings across year groups. It’s always encouraging to see the pride pupils take in doing their very best and I commend them all for their resilience and commitment.
A particular highlight this week has been seeing Prep 6 putting the final touches to their much-anticipated production of The Lion King. The rehearsals are looking fantastic and it’s clear that an enormous amount of hard work has gone into learning lines, perfecting choreography and bringing this magical story to life. We are all looking forward to what promises to be a truly memorable performance next week.
We would like to extend warm wishes to those who are celebrating Eid and wish everyone a wonderful weekend.
Best wishes,
Carla Hornby
