Westholme Loves War Horse

A trip to theatre

75 Westholme Drama students travelled to the Liverpool Empire Theatre to watch the breathtaking production of ‘War Horse’ last night. Ten years on from its premiere at the National Theatre, it is galloping back across Britain in an extended tour.

Year 10 Drama students are studying the play for their GCSE Drama written exam and A Level students are reviewing the performance for their written paper. They were very fortunate to get great seats for the fantastic play.

War horse

War Horse is a piece of theatre that has rightly become legendary; it both knocks out the senses and pierces the heart. Our pupils were thrilled with the performance, thanks to its immense sense of physicality and astonishingly life-like appearances of the puppet horses.

What a great evening and particularly poignant at this time of remembrance.
