The midpoint of Westholme’s year of centenary celebrations was marked by a glittering Centenary Ball on 1 July, a key highlight in the School’s 100th birthday calendar.
Almost 200 loyal friends and supporters, old and new, were warmly welcomed to an unforgettable experience at the School’s very own Croston Theatre. Guests were greeted by Westholme’s own superb swing band as they walked down the famous purple carpet, to be treated to a wonderful evening of fine dining and exceptional entertainment. The entertaining compere created a lively atmosphere from the outset and the fun carried on throughout the evening with an amazing magician and great music from the DJ and The Deadbeats, a live band who got the crowd dancing in the theatre. Memorable moments from the night included a rousing performance by alumni and West End performer, Liz Long, as well as an impromptu rendition of the school hymn directed by Westholme’s former Director of Music, Eric Millest!
