Year 6 boys enjoy an action packed adventure at Patterdale Hall
Year 6 boys, along with Mr Lewis and Mr Haworth spent an enjoyable; if very wet two and a half days at Patterdale Hall.
Despite the extremely wet weather, all of the boys were in great spirit – they enjoyed taking part in activities including gorge walking, sailing, abseiling, shelter building (this proved to come in handy!) and canoeing. They also learnt skills in dam building which proved to be another necessity!
Unfortunately, the bad weather meant that they couldn’t camp outside as they had planned to do. However, they still managed to enjoy a wonderful camping atmosphere, as they lit a bonfire in the woods, toasted marshmallows and had a fantastic sing along, complete with actions. They also managed to canoe over the field where they were meant to have camped!
At the end of their stay, the boys were presented with a certificate each for showing their resilience in the wettest Westholme visit to Patterdale Hall…EVER!
Well done boys – Mr Lewis and Mr Haworth were extremely proud of you all.
