The Year 2 children have rounded off their topic on the Great Fire of London today with lots of fun activities.
Just like Thomas Faryner, King Charles ll royal baker, the children worked together to make some delicious London Cakes following an authentic historical recipe.
The children also tried their hand at writing with a feather quill pen just like Samuel Pepys when he wrote his eyewitness diary in 1666.
The day was rounded off with great excitement as they actually re-enacted the Great Fire and set alight their own version of London Town to see how the fire would have spread with the help of the wind.
A fun day of hands on historical activities!
