Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly

This morning, the pupils in Year 6 presented a lively and entertaining assembly to mark their last day at the Junior School.

Parents were welcomed in to school to share in the memories the children spoke about, from their first day at the Junior School as pupils in Year 3 to their fun experiences on their residential trip to Lockerbie Manor earlier this year.

Fun stories were told – it seems Mr Harrison’s bad jokes were a popular memory – along with the many trips, interesting lessons and of course the wonderful teachers. The pupils spoke eloquently throughout and entertained the audience from start to finish.

A final assembly wouldn’t be complete without a good old sing song, and everyone was treated to a few musical numbers from the year 6 production of Edith’s Wartime Scrapbook. Some of the words were changed to reflect Westholme memories and which was a wonderful touch.

Thank you to the Class of 2019 for the wonderful memories.
