There were 4 days of energetic sporting events at Swim Camp this week. Activities included hockey, cricket, tennis, badminton, athletics and football. Mr Haworth was delighted with the children’s perseverance, listening skills, determination and teamwork in all of the sessions.
The younger children played a range of games to develop basic skills, whilst the juniors enhanced their skills in a competitive arena.
There was great success in the pool; 3 days were spent with intensive swimming training and coaching. The last day of camp was badge day where every child achieved a personal best in terms of distance. The furthest distance swum was a staggering 2 miles completed by 6 children. Other success stories included several infant children quadrupling their distance PBs and some children achieving widths for the first time. As a reward for an amazing week proceedings ended with an ‘eggciting’ and ‘eggcellent’ Easter egg hunt.
Swim camp has been a roaring success and we look forward to further great achievements in summer.
Well done to everyone!
