As part of their studies, 36 Year 11 and Sixth Form Art and Photography students went to York for the day, to gather inspiration and photographs for their A Level and GCSE coursework assignments.
They visited St Mary’s church where we were treated to the Van Gogh experience with the artist’s animated paintings coming alive on the walls of the church as we relaxed on deckchairs.
The afternoon was spent on a guided tour of the city where we visited many of the famous buildings of the city including York Minster, St Mary’s Abbey and The Shambles. A fantastic day was completed by some retail therapy in the many quaint shops that line the cobbled streets of York.
