Victoria Green’s Chemistry Award
The Chemistry Olympiad involves Chemistry students sitting a two hour examination paper containing difficult questions that go beyond the Advanced level course. Only the best students enter from the top schools in the UK.
Congratulations to UVI student Victoria Green who has been awarded a Silver certificate. This is a fantastic achievement and places Victoria in the top 30% of the best A Level Chemistry students in the country.
Westholme helped to prepare me for my path into politics – my time at the school gave me the knowledge and the confidence that I could achieve anything. Anything at all!
Westholme helped me to understand that in life hard work always beats natural talent. So, everywhere I go now I always make sure I’m working harder than my competition – this allows me to achieve my dreams.
At Westholme I was taught that no dream was too big. We were encouraged to aim for the stars, which I did and succeeded! Knowing I had their constant support even to this day, anything was possible.
At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
