Huge congratulations to Daisy-Mae!
Back in the autumn term, RSPCA Assured launched a new junior cookery video competition for six to twelve-year-olds. It was launched in a bid to help children make the connection between the food they eat and the animals that produce it, in a fun and engaging way. We were delighted to receive the news that Year 3 student, Daisy-Mae Everingham has been announced as the winner of the RSPCA Assured Junior Compassionate Cook People’s Choice category; her video received an incredible 95,316 votes!
Daisy-Mae has won a hamper from Hamleys Toy Store, a Junior Compassionate Cook trophy, a set of cookware and an annual subscription to the RSPCA’s junior magazine, Animal Action. We are also delighted as Westholme will receive some brand new cookware including bowls and a range of utensils.
Perhaps Daisy-Mae will soon be helping out these talented ladies in the school kitchen – well done!
