Year 10 pupils compete in the Debating Competition held at Burnley College
A small group of Year 10 pupils were involved in a debating competition at Burnley College on Monday 25th June. The girls had to debate a number of motions, including: ”˜No prisoner should get the vote’, and ”˜Pop stars should be judged on their music, not their lifestyle’.
Hannah Patel, Zainab Khatoon, Rimsha Qureshi, Sanna Akhtar and Hui-Ling Phillips managed to reach the semi-final being narrowly defeated by Colne Primet. A debatable decision!
