February Fun at W Club

Games and activities galore for children at W Club

Once again, W Clubbers had a fabulous time over half term. They began the week with a new trip to Golf Rossendale.   The children met PGA golf professionals Scott & Dale who organised a range of activities using drivers on the driving range to try and get the ball into a net, a putting competition, a beat the pro at target practice game and finally a tri-golf which involved team games. They all had a great time and gave Golf Rossendale a big thumbs up!

Underwater Adventures was the theme for Tuesday. The children made sea-life mosaics and a fish aquarium. After lunch everyone headed for the pool where a variety of ”˜I’m in W Club Get Me out Of Here!’ games were played.   Catching bugs, building rafts and rescuing letters were just some of the games the children enjoyed – what a fun day.

On Wednesday, the children made their very own passport, jumped on a plane and parachuted into different countries! After going through security, they tasted foods from France, Italy, China and the UK as well as making ”˜Pierre’ models and snake sock puppets.

Welcome to Hogwarts was Thursday’s theme where children had a busy day making broomsticks, glasses, pendants, scarves, ties and bookmarks. The afternoon was spent making all types of spooky potions.

All too soon, the week drew to a close and on Friday, W Clubbers had a day filled with fast moving team games and plenty of fun! Games of dodge ball, bench ball, target practice, football, uni-hockey and relays were enjoyed by all.

The W Clubbers had an excellent week – thanks to Mrs Waddicor and her team for all their efforts.
