Pupils from Years 7 – 9 enjoyed their trip to France
During the summer holidays an excited group of forty one girls from Years 7 to 9 and five members of staff: Mrs Brown, Mrs Hunt, Mrs Whittaker, Mrs Allan and Mr Bisset, embarked upon their trip to France, the Chateau de Grande Romaine, on the outskirts of Paris to be precise.
The party enjoyed a trip to the market of Brie-Comte-Robert where the girls were able to use their French to make purchases and converse with the locals. Girls also enjoyed activities at the Chateau, including climbing, abseiling and archery. There was also the opportunity for a pleasant dip in the open-air pool! A day was spent in Paris where the group enjoyed a boat trip on the River Seine. As the weather was hot, lunch was a picnic underneath the Eiffel Tower. Visits to Monmartre and Sacre Coeur followed, and some of the girls had their portraits drawn.
The highlight of the trip for many was the day spent at Disneyland. Girls queued for photos and autographs of their favourite Disney characters whilst the staff dashed off to experience the thrills of Space Mountain and Indiana Jones! A great holiday was had by all!
