Studying the new flood defences in Keswick

After an extremely wet summer and a record month’s worth of rainfall in just one day, it seemed an ideal time to survey the new flood defences in Keswick.   With the Greta flowing just below bankfull, the Year 12 geographers assessed the costs and benefits of each flood management strategy.   Flooding is an issue affecting many parts of the country and important decisions need to be made regarding flood management strategies and the cost of these schemes.
