Pupils’ success in the East Lancashire Girls’ Golf competition.
On Friday 30th April, three Westholme pupils played in the East Lancashire Schools golf competition which was held at Darwen Golf Club. It was a difficult day to play golf as it was very windy with showers of rain, plus it is a very hilly course to begin with! The girls played very well, especially as most of the other players were older.
Year 11 pupil Elizabeth Stebbings, who has a handicap of 2, won the Girls’ Best Gross Competition.
Sophie Lamb of Year 7 was the runner-up in the Girls’ Best Gross Competition.
Alicia Stebbings of Year 7 was the runner-up in the Nett Competition. Alicia has now reduced her handicap from 29 to 28.
Well done to the Westholme Golfers!
