Old Westholmian speaks to Textiles students
Former student Rachael Moodie visited Westholme yesterday to speak to GCSE and A-level Textiles students. After completing her studies at Westholme, Rachael went to study Fashion at the University of Leeds. Whilst there, she completed a year in industry and worked for Fashion Designer, Bruce Oldfield where she gained lots of invaluable experience.
Westholme students were inspired as they heard Rachael talk about her experiences within the world of Fashion; she also brought along her portfolio which included designs she had made for an interview with Burberry!
Rachael also gave our Sixth Form students advice about studying in Leeds and was able to provide information about other Universities she also considered when applying to study Fashion.
We were delighted to welcome Rachael back to Westholme, although her visit was only fleeting as she is flying out to America on Sunday to start a new job working for Abercrombie and Fitch in Ohio – Westholmers really do get everywhere! We would like to wish Rachael the best of luck – thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to pay us a visit, Rachael.
