Year 2 had a fabulous Science day at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
The children were entertained and educated through a mini workshop on the ‘Manchester Revolution’, they were then lucky enough to see the real Stephenson’s Rocket locomotive which is the museum’s star exhibit at the moment.
The children then enjoyed participating in a workshop called ‘Forces and Flight’ focusing on Sir Isaac Newton’s discoveries.
After that everyone had a very hands on half hour as they explored Experiment – a room full of interactive activities.
After a well earned lunch the children heard a story of invention and perseverance. The children expressed their desire to be inventors of the future with ideas ranging from a diamond machine to a cookie making machine.
What a fun day!
