We are proud to announce the election of our new student officers for the next academic year.
Congratulations go to our new Head Girl, Saoirse O’Neill, and Head Boy, Dominic Naylor, and to our new Deputy Head, Ambreen Chowdhury. The three students will be working closely with our Head of Sixth Form, Student Council and with the other newly elected officers, to act as a student voice for the body of the school and their Sixth Form peers, whilst also representing the school at numerous events throughout the academic year.
They will be leading our new team of Prefects, each of whom will be linked to different year groups throughout the school to enable every Westholme student to feel connected and supported by our senior officers. Congratulations goes to Ana Bradbury, India Sidhu, Charlotte Heyes, Milly Arcangelo, Adam Natha, Marcus Atkin, Utreia Prior, Zara Hussain, Jake Perry, Kathryn Byrne and Abigail Lee.
Additionally, the PE, Music and Drama departments will be supported by our new Sports Captains (Emily Berry, Molly Taylor and Max Chester), Music Captain (Joshua Dodding) and Drama Captain (Lydia Carr-Oddie). They will be regularly involved in activities linked to their position throughout the academic year and will be providing assistance to teachers in organising, running and promoting events.
Lastly, each of the four houses have elected their new House Captains. After a close vote in each house, the successful students are as follows: Bowland – Holly Southern and Lucy Kerr; Calder – Lucy Barrett and Ben Brunnschweiler; Longridge – Muneerah Jolaade and Darcey O’Brien; Pendle – Louisa Harkness and Zaynah Moazzam.
We wish all of our new officers the best of luck in their duties next term and look forward to seeing them work together as the senior leadership team to make their mark on the school in their senior year.
