One of the challenges the Maths Department set for British Science Week was a ‘Pi off’.
The challenge was for any student or teacher to come forward and try to beat last year’s record. The competition was high and the students and Mrs Hiller did extremely well and prizes were awarded to the top three reciters.
The winners in the Pi Reciting Competition were as follows:
4th place: Reece Sears recited 18 digits
3rd place: Peter Ward-Thompson recited 136 digits
2nd place: Darcey O’Brien recited 324 digits
1st place: Mrs Hiller recited 400 digits
Congratulations to everyone who took part.
