Transport across the ages

Year 2 learn all about the Penny Farthing

The Year Two pupils at Billinge House are currently learning all about transport across the ages.

They were excited to learn that Toby Haresceugh’s grandad, Bob, had been very busy building his own Penny Farthing bicycle in his garage!

Bob kindly agreed to come down to Billinge House to show  the children  his exciting creation, talk to  then about his love of cycling and share some important safety tips for they are out and about on  their own bikes. The children really enjoyed Bob’s talk and learnt a great deal about transportation from a bygone era.
