Update from Head of INSPIRED Sixth Form, Mr Oracz
20/06/2025
With the final formal exams taking place this week and Year 12 sitting their internal mocks, the Sixth Form has been a hub of revision and quiet focus. In the tranquillity of diligent studying, we have been building towards the excitement of the Sixth Form Induction Day on Friday. However, this week I want to offer my sincere congratulations to every student who took part in our Dance Showcase on Thursday evening.
Led by our Dance Captains, it was an absolutely incredible event, with students from Year 7 to 13 working together to showcase emotional, passionate and flawlessly choreographed routines. I was blown away by the standard and quality on show under the guidance of Mrs Barber. The unity of the dancers from all age groups was clear to see, and I was proud of our senior students leading by example, supporting those in younger years. Notably, our huge thanks go to our departing Dance Captains, Sally and Eleanor.
Whilst Sally was unable to perform last night due to an injury, it was a pleasure to watch Eleanor in her final performance on stage, with jazzy numbers including Feeling Good and All That Jazz, not to mention her sharing her own pride at seeing younger students perform a number she choreographed for them; true Westholme leadership. The evening was extraordinary from start to finish and a testament to the dance talent across the school. Congratulations to all and thank you for giving the audience the privilege of witnessing your talent and passion for the art you all clearly love and work so hard to perfect on stage.
