Update from the Head of Prep, Mrs Hornby
Over at Prep, we started the week with an assembly remembering Pope Francis, who sadly passed away this week. He was an inspirational figure to millions of people around the world, and we looked at lessons of his life and how we can learn from the example that he set us all. Pupils learned about his life, what he stood for throughout his time at Head of the Catholic Church, and the legacy that he leaves behind.
This week, we have also opened our doors to external families for our Open House Week. Pupils in Prep 5 have been excellent tour guides, as they have shown families around our beautiful Prep building, classrooms and facilities. It has been a lovely opportunity to welcome new families and show them the best of what Westholme Prep has to offer.
After the Easter Break, we have returned to school refreshed and all students have been working hard inside and outside of the classroom. Many of our Prep 4, 5 & 6 pupils will also be returning from our French PGL trip this weekend. We have had a fabulous time, and along other members of the teaching staff it has been a pleasure to have been involved in this trip.
Passe un bon week-end!
Mrs C Hornby
