Year 7 Roman villa competition

This term, our Year 7 Classicists donned their hard-hats to become architects inspired by the ancient world. In small groups, or as soloists, Forms went up against each other to build the best villa, adorning the interior with mosaics and frescoes like the ones seen in class.

The competition was particularly fierce this year, with some students choosing to make their villas on Minecraft, submitting beautifully edited videos with voiceovers to match. Every student should be commended for the creativity, resilience; and teamwork they demonstrated while completing this project. They all made it very difficult to judge!

However, the class winners were as follows:

7O: Elijah, Fergus; and Sophie

A huge congratulations to the overall winners, Zak and Sophie, for the exceptional level of detail, accuracy and creativity displayed within their villas. Well done!
