Year 10 took part in their DofE Expedition Bronze Practice in the Ribble Valley.
On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May four groups of Year 10 students, 22 students in total, headed off to the Ribble Valley for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh practice.
The weather was mainly dry with a chilling wind, especially on Saturday although it turned out to be much better than the forecast and the groups only ran into a couple of quick showers on Saturday and enjoyed lots of sun on Sunday.
It was a successful and enjoyable expedition for all concerned, showing good navigational, teamwork and campcraft skills.
The students really enjoyed themselves at the campsite after a strenuous day of walking 12km with a heavy rucksack and are now looking forward to the live expedition later this year.
