We held our first Centenary Alumni Lunch on Saturday 28 January and what an event it was! As the first of our series of lunches, and the first of a long list of events taking place throughout the year, it was a fantastic way to start what we’re sure will be a year to remember in Westholme’s special history.
We move closer and closer to the new year, when the Westholme Family will come together to celebrate 100 years of unrivalled holistic excellence, and this week we had a taste of what that celebratory atmosphere will feel like, as a large number of Old Westholmians returned to school as part of our Mock Interview event.
We were saddened to hear the news that Mrs Patricia Cave, a former Deputy Head, has passed away following a short illness.
Katherine Gostick – Alumna 1985.
We are delighted to hear that former Westholme student, Katherine Gostick, née Croasdale, has recently published two books: ‘Finding a Place to Park my Melon: Memoir of a Trailing Spouse’ and ‘The Spy who Saved Christmas’.
Professor Sophie Scott CBE – Alumna 1971 – 1983
Last week, we were delighted to hear that former Westholme student Sophie was awarded a CBE for her services to Neuroscience.
Congratulations to former student, Lucy Hindle, who will be graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a First Class degree in International Hotel Management, (the Business School has just been ranked in the worlds top 5%).
