On Friday 28 April we held our magnificent annual Sports Awards Dinner at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers FC.
On Friday 29 April we were thrilled to be able to celebrate our students’ wonderful sporting achievements of the past 12 months at the Sports Awards 2022, especially because we had to miss out last year due to the pandemic. This made the night feel even more special.

The annual Primary Blackburn and Darwen gala took place this month after a 2 year absence and for Westholme, nine swimmers from Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in the event at Darwen Leisure Centre.

Over the Christmas break, Year 9 student Benji represented the Independent Schools’ FA U14 England team in their winter training camp.
Last week we held the House Cross-Country competitions at the Senior School, arguably one of the biggest sporting occasions in the school calendar! Overall we saw some fantastic performances and the spirit and determination from our students made it a great day of competitive racing.

Last weekend William Grundy represented the North West Region at the British Triathlon Inter- Regional National Championships at Mallory Park Race Circuit, Leicestershire placing 5th!

The School cross country races took place last week at Wilmar Lodge and there were some fantastic efforts and impressive times from everyone involved.
