Reception children visit Dewlay Cheese Factory
Reception classes enjoyed their morning at the Dewlay Cheese factory this week. They were fascinated with the large processing line machinery and listened carefully to Roger when he speeded up the whole process and handmade some cheese in 20 minutes for us. The best bit was saved until last cheese sampling!

At Westholme I was taught that no dream was too big. We were encouraged to aim for the stars, which I did and succeeded! Knowing I had their constant support even to this day, anything was possible.
At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
