On Sunday 8th March Leiyah, Imogen and Anna competed for the Westholme School dressage team, Give It Some Welly Westholme! at Birtle in Bury.
The rain managed to hold off and the girls all ride fantastically!
In the Intro class Leiyah took third with Imogen fourth, then in the Prelim class Anna took fifth. Well done to all the riders and grooms for another lovely day. Thank you to our sponsors Country Frog for their support and our distinctive team numnahs which we think look great.
Westholme helped to prepare me for my path into politics – my time at the school gave me the knowledge and the confidence that I could achieve anything. Anything at all!
Westholme helped me to understand that in life hard work always beats natural talent. So, everywhere I go now I always make sure I’m working harder than my competition – this allows me to achieve my dreams.
At Westholme I was taught that no dream was too big. We were encouraged to aim for the stars, which I did and succeeded! Knowing I had their constant support even to this day, anything was possible.
At Westholme, aspirations were encouraged strongly, along with a clear ethos that working hard was the way to achieve them. It’s an attitude that has been incredibly positive for me.
More than anything, Westholme taught me to be fearless in my aspirations. It was an environment which encouraged me to stay true to myself, and to treasure and cultivate my creativity.
I think that it is extremely important that people aim for the best and keep their aspirations for the future high. Aspirations and dreams are hugely motivating.
