Year 6 Hockey Memorial Tournament
The Year 6 hockey team were invited to take part in the Budge Memorial Tournament at Rossall School. This annual event is by invite only, so our team were honoured to compete. They are showing some excellent skills and have a very good team spirit. This shone through at the tournament, as they won the first 4 games 3-1, 3-0, 5-1 and 2-0 against, Rossall, Highfield Priory, Heathfield and St Mary’s Hall respectively.
This saw the girls earning a place in the semi final against Casterton. They came back from being 2-1 down, to be worthy winners of the match. The result was 4-2.
The final game was against Kirkham (who the girls knew would be tough to beat). They fought well, but in the end, they lost 2-0.
Congratulations to the team, who were deserved silver medal winners.
