Move up day at Westholme School
Nursery children through to the Seniors enjoyed their move up day on Thursday. Our youngest pupils enjoyed the journey to Billinge House and an afternoon spent in Pre School. They spent time playing with new friends and loved getting to know their new teachers Miss Byrom and Mrs Moores-Hart. How grown up they felt!
Each class from Pre School up to Year 6 moved up to what will be their class next year – meeting new teachers as they went. The Year current Year 2 girls enjoyed spending the afternoon in year 3 with Miss Rimmer and Miss Lomax and loved making hot air balloons out of tissue paper. Year 2 boys had a wonderful time getting to know Mrs Daley in Year 3 and having a play with the Year 3 boys in the hall.
For the seniors, it was an Induction Day with a difference! For the first time in Westholme’s history, the incoming senior boys were welcomed for an afternoon of fun lessons and a party tea. Everyone, girls and boys, enjoyed exciting science lessons, horrible history lessons, and fabulous drama lessons in the theatre. Parents arrived after tea for an informative and enjoyable evening.
